The SmartSensor Matrix should be installed either on the side of the road or on a mast arm or other structure over the road. The sensor should be at least 6 feet from the first lane of interest. The recommended mounting height is 20 feet, ± 5 feet. See the SmartSensor Matrix User Guide for more information.
The SmartSensor Matrix can be used in various applications, including stop bar detection, queue detection, intersection clearance detection, ramp metering, and counts.
The power consumption is 9 W and the supply voltage is 10–28 VDC.
The SmartSensor Matrix can be configured using the SmartSensor Manager Matrix software, available on the Wavetronix website. The software can run on any Windows desktop or laptop.
The SmartSensor Matrix can detect up to ten lanes.
