PROVO, UT—Wavetronix LLC, the Utah-based world leader of Digital Wave Radar traffic sensors was recently named to the 'High-Tech 20' list of Utah companies by Utah Business Magazine. The October issue of Utah Business focuses on technology and small business and has recognized Wavetronix for their outstanding contribution to the State of Utah's technology sector.
Significant advances in modern radar design have vaulted Wavetronix to the top 20 in just their second year in business. "We are honored to be included with such a respectable group of companies" said John Dougall, V.P. of Research and Development. "Utah companies have always maintained a strong technology focus, and being named by Utah Business as a top 20 tech firm certainly surprised us. However we feel that the recognition for our SmartSensor Digital Wave Radar is consistent with its advanced high tech design."
SmartSensor is an ITS traffic-monitoring device capable of simultaneously reporting count, occupancy, classification, true presence and speed in eight lanes. The product was designed and developed in Provo, UT, and was officially introduced to the traffic industry in Philadelphia earlier this year. Wavetronix has several installations in the U.S. and abroad and interest in the product has been overwhelming. Wavetronix products are available to the traffic industry through authorized dealers, and are being specified and installed on upcoming traffic projects utilizing ITS improvements.
